Novo Chair
The Novo Chair is created with focus on the Danish medicinal company Novo Nordisk. A brand known for their innovation grounded in great tradition, dating back to 1923. I wanted to create a chair for the employees, that provided the very best setting for their meetings. This chair gives the user the opportunity to turn the back- and armrest from side to side, without the seat moving. In this way, the user can change focus around the room and have a better foundation for working and avoid sitting in the same position throughout the meeting.
At Novo Nordisk it is important to create a casual feeling at the meetings, because when you're making innovation, there are no bad ideas. I wanted to combine the feeling and experience of an evening dinner with a professional meeting, so the Novo Chair looks like a dining chair but moves like an office-chair. The upholstery is sponsored by Kvadrat.
The chair has been exhibited at Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair 2019 in Greenhouse, as part of the exhibition "A Guestside chair" by KADK.
The Novo Chair is mentioned in the article "30 Designers and Brands We Loved at Stockholm Design Week 2019" in the online magazine Sight Unseen.
