A site-specific piece of furniture is created for one specific place, both in function and aesthetic. The starting point for this site-specific furniture is the arrival hall of Nørrebro Station. A site-specific furniture pays tribute to the place it is designed for, by emphasizing the qualities and possibilities of this exact place.

The piece is an interactive bench for Nørrebro Station. The architecture at Nørrebro Station in Copenhagen is often taken for granted by the everyday users. This bench is created in order to put focus on the architectural elements found at Nørrebro Station, such as the archways, the massive pillars and water fountains. The piece is made to inspire the visitors to take notice and enjoy them.

The first illustrations is renderings of the piece in the context of Nørrebro Station, including a visualization of the different possibilities of interactions: Leaning, standing and sitting on it.

The following illustrations is a full-scale mock-up of the piece, made by cardboard, Styrofoam and tape.
