If you have to make a furniture to sit on and you can only use textile and veneer, what would that look like? That was the question behind this design. How can you create a piece of furniture which utilize the different qualities the materials can contribute with to the construction.

 

The veneer can create shape and the textile can hold that shape together. In this way you can stabilize a doubled curved shape, by weaving the shape in place. The construction is only held together by the straps of nylon that pull the braid together to create strength.
